A few weeks ago, we bid farewell to Michael Darragh Macauley. After six years, he finished his role as Sports & Wellbeing Coordinator with the North East Inner City Initiative (NEIC)
Here at The Five Lamps Arts Festival, we are incredibly grateful for all the support he has given us over the years. Michael’s dedication and passion have left a mark on our community. He helped bring to life many incredible projects, like the COMUNIDADE Sports and Intercultural Programme. This dynamic partnership between our organisation and the NEIC launched in 2023, involving ten primary schools in Dublin’s North Inner City. Students participated in a diverse range of activities such as capoeira, jiu-jitsu, gymnastics, and dance classes, promoting social inclusion.
