Exhibition ‘Women of Sheriff Street’ celebrated in Irish Independent article

Tara Kearns and her paintings

The exhibition Women of Sheriff Street, by Tara Kearns, was featured this week in the Irish Independent.

The article published on December 12, presents an interview with the Dublin artist, who is holding an exhibition this month at the Central Bank of Ireland, showcasing the women of her local community.

"Tara Kearns is an emerging talent from the north inner city. Titled The Women of Sheriff Street, the exhibition is a love letter to the women, both young and old, who grew up and lived in the area."

The article highlights the Markievicz Award received by the artist in 2022, a grant from the Arts Council to create work reflecting on the role of women in Irish history.
