Battle of Zen returns to Five Lamps Festival 2026 for its fourth live edition after a jam-packed year. Join us in Dublin City Centre for a day of electrifying dance battles showcasing Ireland’s top street dancers, alongside international competitors, battling for the winning title and prize.

Expect high-energy performances, surprise appearances throughout the day, tracks spun by DJs, and pop-up shops, all coming together in a bold, family-friendly celebration of Irish street dance and battle culture.

Bringing together the Irish dance community and local audiences, this event celebrates where Irish street dance culture stands today while inspiring the next generation.

Producer & Curator – Jessie Thompson

Jessie Thompson is a Dublin-based dance artist and choreographer blending hip-hop and contemporary practice across theatre, film, and live performance. Her work explores extreme physicality, community and live music. Jessie has toured her works internationally and is founder of Battle of Zen, Ireland’s leading meeting ground for professional and community street dance and contemporary practice.
