BIG LOVE Studio Session Night
Following the success of last year’s Studio Session at The Five Lamps Arts Festival, we’re excited to bring it back this year! This time, we’re shaking things up and heading to the south side of Dublin, to the legendary Windmill Lane Studios, one of Ireland’s most iconic recording havens.
For this special edition, we’re thrilled to welcome BIG LOVE to present an immersive Studio Session Night featuring their alternative rock music. Expect an eclectic range of songs that plunge to dark, cavernous depths with guitar-driven soundscapes and rise to euphoric, lung-busting heights. Led by their earworm vocal melodies, their live shows are a must-see.
BIG LOVE is a sextet featuring Cian Ó Maonlaí (lead vocals), Jack Cody (guitar), Megan Nic Ruairí (keys), Dan Aherne (bass), Anton Shovlin (drums), and Adam Curtis (lead guitar).
Starting off the evening with Pier and his soothing rhythms of the Mediterranean.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
BIG LOVE released their debut single ‘Lily’ in early 2021 to much critical acclaim, following this up with two more releases and featuring multiple times in the RTÉ Recommends playlist. After a series of live shows across Ireland in 2023, including performances at Electric Picnic, Other Voices and another sold-out headline show at Workman’s Club, the group is posed to take 2024 by storm and it’s part of The Five Lamps Arts Festival 2024.
PIER
Pier , also known as Pierfrancesco Dessì, hails from a quaint industrial town nestled along the southeastern coast of Sardinia. Drawing from a diverse palette of influences including 90’s alt rock, singer-songwriter introspection, and the rich tapestry of Sardinian folk. His music seamlessly oscillates from ethereal ambience to raw intensity. The latest single “Like A Moth To A Flame” anticipates the release of Pier’s debut EP “The Harvest”, out on April 26th.
Windmill Lane Studios in Dublin is a renowned recording studio established in 1978. It gained fame for hosting iconic bands like U2 during the 1980s and 1990s. Known for its high-quality recordings and innovative techniques, the studio has expanded over the years and offers state-of-the-art facilities for artists. It remains a vital part of the music industry, contributing to numerous award-winning albums and maintaining a reputation for excellence in sound engineering and production.
