Cushion Concert: Trumpets, Tunes and Other Things
Join us for a joyful Cushion Concert in Dublin as part of the Five Lamps Arts Festival, a fun and interactive musical experience designed especially for very young children and their families. Trumpets, Tunes and Other Things invites little listeners to discover the magic of live music in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Led by musician Jenna Raggett and trumpeter Darren Moore, part of the Irish Baroque Orchestra, this playful session introduces children to the bright and exciting sounds of the trumpet through music, movement and imagination. Families can enjoy singing, dancing, listening and even trying a little conducting as the musicians guide the audience through a lively and engaging musical journey.
During this unique family-friendly concert, children will hear the rich tones of the trumpet and explore surprising sounds created with everyday objects – including a hosepipe! The interactive format encourages curiosity, creativity and participation, making it a perfect first live music experience for toddlers and babies.
This children’s music event at the Five Lamps Arts Festival is specially designed for children up to 4 years old. Parents and carers are invited to relax with their little ones, bring along a cushion, and enjoy a warm, welcoming atmosphere where families can connect with music together.
Taking place at Charleville Mall Library in Dublin 1, this free family event, no booking required, offers a wonderful opportunity to introduce young children to the world of live performance as part of one of Dublin’s most vibrant community arts festivals.
Come along, bring a cushion, and get ready for a morning of music, discovery and fun for the whole family!
