Tropical Fish in the Tolka
When Bob Bradshaw claimed that there could be tropical fish in the Tolka he’d no idea what lay ahead. Not Matilda, the sudden tornado that lashed down on his new roof. Nor the planning application for a grotesque block of apartments next door to his house in the North Strand. Under pressure from, Liz, his long-suffering wife, Bob decided to rebel. Using the most unconventional methods, including ‘borrowing” artefacts and relics from university laboratories which he buried, Bob made the case that the entire North Strand area was of vital archaeological importance and needed to be preserved.
