Exhibition: The Women of Sheriff Street, by Tara Kearns

The women of Sheriff Street, an exhibition by Tara Kearns

The Five Lamps Arts Festival has been working closely with The Central Bank of Ireland over the last few years to showcase the work of local artists, bringing together a collection that reflects the community’s diversity and creativity, with the Central Bank providing a dynamic space to house each exhibition

Our latest collaboration spotlights the works of Dublin artist Tara Kearns, an emerging and native talent from Sheriff Street in Dublin North Inner City. Tara’s exhibition, “The Women of Sheriff Street,” is a love letter to the women, both young and old who grew up and lived in the area and their individual experiences of the place.

As an artist, Tara, shaped by her role as an activist and storyteller, specialises in oil painting and portraiture. She explores themes of identity, place, and memory, aiming to capture the essence of the subject matter.

The exhibition runs from November 29th to December 15th, 2023

Address: Central Bank of Ireland
Visitor’s Centre
North Wall Quay l D01 F7X3

Open Monday to Friday
From 10am to 4pm

The exhibition is FREE to the public

* Please note the exhibition will be closed on: 1st, 4th, and 5th December
