MONOGRAPH is a collection of photographs celebrating the story of Dublin’s North Inner City’s people, places, and rich cultural heritage.
The exhibition is a visual journey through the lens of Kevin Newcomen, a dedicated volunteer turned amateur photographer, as he presents his inaugural exhibition capturing the essence of the Five Lamps Arts Festival. Join us in celebrating Kevin’s talent as he unveils his unique perspective, which has been cultivated over the years of devotion to the festival. Kevin Newcomen currently lives in Athlone and grew up in Balbriggan Co Dublin. He studied photography at Marino College of Further Education and Coláiste Dhulaigh, College of Further Education. He won an Ilford camera in a Bord Báinne essay competition when attending Balrothery N S. Specially drawn to storytelling and documentary photography, influenced by photographers such as Robert Frank, Alen McWeeney and Rineke Dijkstra. Kevin is an associate of the Irish Photographic Federation and the Royal Photographic Society and was SMEDIA news photographer of the year in 2019.
