The Five Lamps Arts Festival 2024

 

The Five Lamps Arts Festival was officially launched in March, and until April 20th 2024, the North Inner City community lighted up with 200+ artists, over 30 events, across 15 different venues, and more than 30 nationalities united to celebrate culture, history, and inclusivity. The Festival was packed with a range of exciting shows, interactive workshops, live performances, and insightful talks, with a programme for all ages. 

From North East to SouthSide Dublin, the Five Lamps Arts Festival took place at multiple venues, and filled the city with art, music, awareness, welcoming everyone to experience unique perspectives from diverse artists and to explore a current of creativity.

We've Launched!

The Festival 2024 kicked off with a spectacular launch event at Custome House!

Councillor Nial Ring, alongside esteemed guests, including Brazilian Ambassador to Ireland Marcel Fortuna Biato and NEIC Programme Office’s Olivia Brody, inaugurated our 17th edition in style.

Artists, volunteers, partners, and supporters united to celebrate the arts with The Five Lamps Arts Team.

This year the Festival is making a splash with a Water theme, and for the first time crosses the River Liffey to host events in South Dublin, expanding the local community’s horizons with a rainbow of art forms on display.

Inspiration & Legacy: A Group Exhibition

Featuring the influence and legacy of life in the north inner city, showcasing works by 8 local talents. From April 15th – 26th, 10am- 4pm, at Central Bank of Ireland. Free admission! 

Ceol na Catbracb - Music of the City

Ceol na Cathrach – Music of the City

Ceol na Cathrach (Music of the City) is a bilingual series of 4 gigs featuring traditional music and songs that celebrates the great talent of musicians in the city. The gigs will take place at Annesley House, every Wednesday, from March 20th – April 10th, in the lead up to The Five Lamps Arts Festival 2024.

Men in Move – Workshop

On April 11th an exclusive dance masterclass for men, and who identifies as man. Explore practical strategies to boost self-esteem and social presence,  to enable free movement through body language and dance.

FLAF24_BIG LOVE Band

BIG LOVE – Alternative Rock Studio Session

BIG LOVE, an alternative rock outfit based in Dublin, presents on April 12th, at the Windmill Lane Studios an immersive alternative rock Studio Session Night. Displaying an eclectic range of songs that plunge to dark, cavernous depths with guitar driven soundscapes and rise to euphoric, lung-busting heights, led by their earworm vocal melodies, their live shows are a must-see.

QOW TRIO - Jazz Live Performance

QOW TRIO – Modern Jazz Live Performance

On April 14th (Sunday) experience a unique multi-generational jazz band playing a dynamic modern jazz with a ton of swing and plenty of soul. Dive into a musical journey with QOW TRIO, exploring the depth of tenor history and diverse maestro artistry. The event happens at the Windmill Lane Studios, from 6pm.

SongTales sa Spéir

SongTales sa Spéir has been described as ‘an amazing experience’ full of imagination. A unforgettable concert for children with music and singalong songs performed by some of Ireland’s finest musicians in a wonderfully interactive show. The show happens on April 15th and 16th 2024, at Sean O’Casey Theatre, from 10am – 12pm.
