Storytelling Workshop with The Dublin Story Slam
Sharing a story onstage can be a fun way to bring people together, an exciting challenge to yourself or a powerful method of teach important skills. But delivering that story in front of a crowd, especially for the first time, can be really challenging.
City Stories from The Dublin Story Slam is a new community programme that brings people together to learn and connect with each other from our shared stories. In this FREE 60minute group workshop at this year’s Five Lamps Arts Festival, we’re looking to share stories inspired by the theme Neighbourhood. We’ll help you identify a story you can share with confidence, structure it in a way that makes sense for you and your audience and help you deliver your story with confidence. Silly, serious, sad or surprising, you’re story can be about anything as long as it’s true and personal and inspired by the theme: Neighbourhood.
Join us for this 60 minute session where even if you only have a tiny spark of an idea for a personal story, you’d like to share, we’ll help you tease it into a tale you can deliver onstage with confidence. Places are limited so please only sign up if you’re sure you can make it!
