Following the sold-out success of BULLIED at the Sean O’Casey Theatre, and following the many requests to bring it back, the Dublin Touring Theatre in association with Five Lamps Arts Festival are delighted to announce another run of the play between the 11th and the 22nd of November at the same venue at the same time 11.00 am each morning.
The play, which has been supported by the Office of the Ombudsman for Children has had an amazing impact. Both teachers and students, in post-performance reaction have spoken about the relevancy of the topic and the way the play deals with the subject. The Ombudsman’s office have also spoken about how important the message is and they should know, with a recent survey of theirs pointing to the concerning fact that over 40% of Irish Children have experienced some form of bullying.
The play, which earlier this year toured Germany and has already played to over 7000 Irish young people, has been described by one leading psychologist as, “subtle and effective tool in opening up dialogue on a pernicious and destructive reality”.
If you need any further information or, if you would like one of the cast or production team to visit your school, please let us know. In the meantime, tickets are selling fast and places for this short run are limited.
