Studio Sessions with Ellen Be and special guests
Ellen Be is a Brazilian singer that lived for many years in Ireland and used to run the All We Need Is Love Cultural hub in Dublin. She’s back for a show revival on The Five Lamps Arts Festival, launching her new album and solo project supported by “The Children of the Ancestors”, a made up band formed by musicians from the African jazzy band “Elikya” and the known afrobeat band “Yankari”. The album was recorded between Ireland and Brazil, connecting people around the world to share the message of Cultural awakening and ancestry power through difficult times. A night to be felt and remembered.

The main show is supported by an opening act, ÓNinaÓ a neo-tropicalia project bringing a fresh take on classic Brazilian sounds with its music act, “Saudades do Canto da Sereia”. Inspired by the great icons of 1960s and 1970s Brazilian tropicalia — such as Caetano Veloso, Jorge Ben Jor, and Gal Costa — ÓNinaÓ blends samba, bossa nova, and brazilian regional folk rhythms with bluesy guitars and British rock influences.
