Féachfar anocht ar nuafhilíocht le béim ar an bhfocal labhartha; idir dánta, rapcheol, agus amhráin. Cuirfidh bean an tí Ciara Ní Éanacháin fáilte roimh: Séamus Barra Ó Súilleabháin, MC Muipéad, Temper-Mental, MissElayneous, Marcus MacConghail, Eoin P. Ó Murchú, agus Eva O’Connor.

Spoken word poetry; featuring poems, songs, and rap. Part of Seachtain na Gaeilge.

Eva O’Connor
Is dramadóir agus aisteoir í Eva. Is é an dráma gradamúil My Name is Saoirse an rud is déanaí a tháinig uaithi. Bean chróga agus láidir is ea í Eva, nach bhfuil aon eagla uirthi dul i ngleic leis na ceisteanna móra a chuireann i mbun cumadóireachta í.
Eva is an actor and playwright, the award-winning show My Name is Saoirse being the most recent play she has written. A strong, brave woman, it’s clear from her work that she is not afraid to get to grips with the serious issues that inspire her work.
Eoin P. Ó Murchú
Bleá Cliathach é Eoin P. Ó Murchú atá tugtha don fhocal agus don scéalaíocht sa chiall is leithne ar fad den fhocal. Gearrscéalta, drámaí, greann, filíocht, is ailt leis foilsithe aon áit nach ndiultaíonn an pár don dúch. Ag saothrú i ngort an taighde ar bheartais sláinte i láthair na huaire.
Eoin P. Ó Murchú is a Dub who is very taken with words and storytelling in the widest sense of the word. Has had short stories, plays, comedy and articles in any publication which will have him. Working in health policy at present.
Thóg na gardaí Marcus Mac Conghail toisc nár thaitin a chuid sean-nóis sráide leo. Dhein sé iarracht síobsiúl ó Chathair Chorcaí go Corca Dhuibhne uair amháin ach níor éirigh leis ach Cill Áirne a bhaint amach an oíche sin agus chodail sé i ngort caide. Ní bhíonn fhios aige riamh bhfuil dhá L nó L amháin sa bhfocal Buil(l)e. Tugann sé foc mar ainm ceana ar gach foclóir agus ní dócha gur scríobh sé dán gan ceann a cheadú. Is minic gur an foclóir féin a scríobhann an dán. Tá fonn diamhair air dul go Londain agus dán molta a scríobh do Lís, Banríon Shasana. Tá sé tar éis striapach cheart a dhéanamh de féin le ráithe anuas d’iarraidh suim daoine a mhúscailt ina leabhar dánta is amhráin Ceol Baile, a d’fhoilsigh Coiscéim i mbliana.
Marcus Mac Conghail was arrested because the guards didn’t like his street sean-nós. He tried to hitch from Cork City to Corca Dhuibhne once but he only reached Killarney that night and slept in a football field. He never knows whether suc(c)eed has one C or two. He’s been seeing a dictionary for quite some time and its doubtful whether he wrote a poem without referring to it. In fact, often it’s the dictionary itself who rights (sic?) the poem. He has a fierce desire to go to London and compose a praise poem for Elizabeth, the English Queen. He’s been whoring himself bigtime the last couple of months in an attempt to interest anybody in his book of poems and songs Ceol Baile, which was published by Coiscéim this year.

We are proud to announce that this show is presented in association with Irish Writers Centre. We are very grateful for their support throughout the festival.
