Fiona Dowling facilitator of collaborative vocal improvisation and circle singing workshop

Collaborative Vocal Improvisation and Circle Singing Workshop

Join this Collaborative Vocal Improvisation and Circle Singing workshop in Dublin, an inspiring and playful session where participants explore creating music together through voice, rhythm and group creativity.

During the workshop, participants will be guided through warm-ups, interactive games and creative exercises designed to introduce the exciting practices of Collaborative Vocal Improvisation and Circle Singing. Collaborative Vocal Improvisation focuses on creating music together as a group, while Circle Singing invites individuals to improvise musical ideas for the group to sing collectively.

These practices encourage spontaneous musical expression and group creativity. Participants will discover how voices can come together to create unique musical moments through listening, rhythm and collaboration.

The workshop is inspired by the work of Guillermo Rozenthuler, whose approach to vocal improvisation creates spaces where people can freely explore the music within them. Rather than focusing on perfection, harmony or technical ability, the emphasis is on creativity, playfulness and the joy of making music together.

Whether you are new to singing or already enjoy musical expression, this workshop offers a welcoming environment to experiment with sound, voice and connection with others.
