The Five Lamps Arts Festival 2022

The Five Lamps Arts Festival was full swing from April 3rd 2022, with a jam-packed programme of events for cultural delectation. Thaís Muniz, founder of Turbante.se, was back this year to deliver her fantastic workshop where she teaches us the many ways to wear a turban and a headscarf and the history and meaning behind them.

Visual artist Martina Galvin an old friend of the Five Lamps Arts Festival returned to the classrooms of Dublin’s inner city, where she has worked closely with talented and enthusiastic kids from primary schools in Dublin 1 to collect and catalogue samples from the nearby canals, as well as local flora and fauna, this will be exhibited as part of an art display later in the year.

Our work to promote the arts will continue through 2022 with everything from workshops to live performances featuring local, national, and international artists.

We passionately believe that arts and culture are for everyone to enjoy and participate in, and this philosophy will continue to be a driving force for our work over the coming months.

Theatre shows such as The Cloudspotter by Michael Harnett and Philo by Peter Sheridan will entertain audiences in East Wall, Bewleys, Axis Theatre and the Viking Theatre in April and May.
